For cost and ease of maintenance as well as a greater selection of colors the old stand-by polyester poplin is the way to go. But it feels like polyester. Spun is more expensive because it feels, absorbs and folds like cotton. It also needs more maintenance such as pressing since it is so cotton-like. If you don't like to iron stay with the regular polyester poplin tablecloths. We do suggest always using spun napkins since they will come in direct contact with your guests' hands and face, be absorbent and they hold a napkin fold.
